Régie Intermunicipale de Transport Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine provides public transit service for the residents of the Gaspésie and Îles-de-la-Madeleine regions of Quebec.
History
Transit service in Gaspésie and Les Îles-de-la-Madelaine began in 2003 under the name of Transport Sans Frontières which was a not for profit system. The system ran until 2009 where it was taken over by the Réseau de transport collectif en Gaspésie et aux Îles-de-la-Madeleine, a city owned service. In 2012, a decision was made to turn the the system into a Régie Intermuniciaple, almost like a CIT system in Montreal.
Service began in 2013 under the name Régie Intermunicipale de Transport Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
