==History==
The Station is named after the complex Place-Des-Arts which opened in 1963, because of the close promity to the station.

Place-Des-Arts was the first station to ever recieve a commisioned piece of art. Unveilled in December of 1967, this stained glass piece, composed of thousands of layered glass, backlite by 105 floresint tubes.

Saint-Laurent station is located in the borough of Ville-Marie on the corner of De Maisonneuve est and Saint-Dominique streets.
